Fast bowler Yash Thakur received his maiden T20I cap as India made one change to their playing XI for the second T20I against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club on Saturday, July 25, 2026. The 27 year old Vidarbha pacer replaced Ashok Sharma in the only change India made to the side that won the series opener by seven wickets on Thursday. Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza won the toss and chose to bowl first, hoping to exploit early conditions in a must win game to keep the three match series alive. India hold a 1 to 0 lead in the series after a dominant performance in the first T20I where 15 year old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi smashed an 18 ball half century to become the youngest player to score a T20I fifty in the history of the format. His debut comes at a ground where he can test his skills in unfamiliar conditions, replacing Ashok Sharma, who went wicketless in the opener.
