An Instagram post from @ohhosports on August 22, 2026 asked whether Yuzvendra Chahal and Disha Patani are dating each other. It collected 8.3K likes and 424 comments. The answer, based on every available fact, is no.
No photograph of Chahal and Patani together exists. No paparazzi sighting. No social media interaction between them. Not a single confirmed source has ever placed them in the same room at the same time in any romantic context.
The rumour first appeared on January 12, 2026, when a Twitter user posted “According to reports, Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal is dating Bollywood star Disha Patani.” No report was cited. No source was named. The claim spread through memes and retweets, and multiple outlets covered the speculation within 48 hours. Cricket Times noted “the lack of photographs or any concrete proof.” Gulf News reported both had “remained tight-lipped amid the growing chatter.”
Neither Chahal nor Patani has ever addressed the rumour. Both continued posting routine work-related content on their accounts, offering no hint of any personal connection.
Two weeks after the original rumour surfaced, Disha Patani walked hand-in-hand with Punjabi singer Talwiinder at Lollapalooza India in Mumbai on January 26, 2026. They had already been spotted together at Nupur Sanon and Stebin Ben’s wedding in Udaipur earlier that month. The Lollapalooza appearance was treated across entertainment media as their “official debut” as a couple.
Talwiinder, in a Times Now interview, stopped short of naming Patani but said he is “currently falling in love.” He has not denied the relationship at any point.

Chahal’s actual post-divorce timeline tells a completely different story than the one fan pages are selling. His divorce from choreographer Dhanashree Verma was finalized in March 2025 at Mumbai’s Bandra family court after a Rs 4.75 crore alimony settlement.
By July 2025, Chahal appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix. When asked about the “mystery girl” in his life, he replied with a grin.
“India already knows.”

That same month, RJ Mahvash organized a flash mob on a London street for Chahal’s 35th birthday. They were photographed walking through London together. Chahal called it “my first birthday surprise in three decades.”
The relationship did not last. In May 2026, both unfollowed each other on Instagram. Mahvash addressed it directly: “There’s no such big deal in it. Like two friends had an argument and they follow-unfollowed each other. And the matter ends there.”
Between the Mahvash chapter and the revived Disha rumour, Chahal was linked to two more women. In April 2026, actress Taniya Chatterjee showed paparazzi a screenshot of Chahal’s Instagram DM to her, a single word: “cute.” She dismissed it as “quite a normal thing.” That same month, he was photographed leaving a restaurant with Bigg Boss 13 contestant Shefali Bagga.
The Link-Up Cycle
Disha, Mahvash, Shefali, Taniya. Four names in eight months. The pattern is not about Chahal’s personal life. It is about how fan pages and gossip accounts manufacture content from a cricketer’s public divorce.
Bagga’s response captured the exhaustion that follows this cycle.
“I really don’t want to answer as I am just fed up. Honestly, my threshold is over now. Say whatever you want to say.”

She pointed out that her profession involves being around male cricketers regularly. She called the assumption that a man and woman having dinner together means they are dating “small thinking.”
The Disha Patani rumour fits this pattern precisely. No evidence. No source. No confirmation. Just a name paired with Chahal’s because both are famous and single enough for the algorithm to care.
Insider Read
Every cricketer who has gone through a public separation knows this phase. The months after a divorce turn every interaction into a headline. You stop being seen at restaurants. You think twice before replying to a message. You know that any woman photographed within ten feet of you will be your “new girlfriend” by morning.
Chahal said it himself on the Raj Shamani podcast: “For a few months, I was depressed. I got anxiety attacks.” That was about the divorce. The link-up cycle that followed has its own cost, one that does not make headlines because it is quieter. It is the slow erosion of normal human interaction under constant public surveillance.
